Kourses Affiliate Program Terms

Updated May 26, 2026

The Kourses Affiliate Program rewards partners who help us reach new course creators, coaches, and community builders. This page covers the full terms of the program, commission structure, tracking, payouts, rules, and how to apply.

We’re looking for partners who genuinely understand and care about the course-creator space, bloggers, YouTubers, podcasters, consultants, agency owners, and existing Kourses customers with engaged audiences. The quality of the audience matters more to us than size.

Commission structure

Your commission rate

30% lifetime recurring commission on every paid plan you refer.
You earn 30% of every payment your referrals make to Kourses, as long as they remain customers. There’s no cap on earnings, no time limit on commissions, and no clawback once the refund window has passed.

This is above the mainstream industry standard for course-platform affiliate programs, and it’s lifetime recurring, meaning you continue earning for years on a single referral as long as they stay subscribed.

Rate lock-in

When you refer a customer, the commission rate is locked in for the lifetime of that customer. If we ever change the standard program rate, your existing referrals will continue to pay you at the rate they were originally referred at.

Excluded plans and offers

Affiliate commissions apply to all standard Kourses plans on monthly or annual billing, including when those plans are sold at a promotional discount during a sale or campaign. You earn your commission on the actual amount the customer pays.

Commissions do not apply to:

  • Lifetime or one-off pricing offers (e.g., AppSumo-style deals or limited-time lifetime access)
  • Migration credits or platform-credit redemptions
  • Any other special offers explicitly excluded at the time of purchase, we’ll always be clear in the affiliate portal when this applies.

Performance perks

We reward top-performing affiliates with non-rate benefits, featured affiliate spotlights, priority support, joint marketing opportunities, and entry into our regular affiliate competitions for prizes. Specific milestones and perks are detailed in the affiliate portal and updated regularly.

Tracking and attribution

Cookie window

Affiliate referrals are tracked using a 60-day cookie. If someone clicks your affiliate link, doesn’t sign up immediately, and returns to Kourses within 60 days to subscribe, you still receive the commission.

Last-click attribution

If a customer clicks more than one affiliate link before subscribing, the most recent click within the cookie window receives the commission.

When commissions are earned

Commissions are earned on each successful payment from a referred customer. Trial signups don’t trigger a commission; Kourses includes a 14-day free trial, and commission is earned only once the trial converts to a paid subscription.

Commission approval period

Affiliate commissions remain pending for 30 days after each successful payment from a referred customer, initial subscriptions, plan upgrades, and recurring renewals. If a customer receives a refund during this period, the commission for that payment is automatically voided. After the 30-day approval period ends, commissions are final and approved for payout.

This is handled automatically by our affiliate platform. There is nothing you need to do.

Payouts

  • Currency: All commissions are paid in USD
  • Schedule: Monthly, net-30. Commissions are paid out on the first working day of each month, covering commissions that have cleared the 30-day approval period.
  • Minimum payout threshold: $100 - balances below this carry forward to the next month
  • Payout methods: Wise transfer

Program rules

We hold ourselves to a high standard at Kourses, and we expect our affiliates to do the same. The rules below protect the Kourses brand, our customers, and you as an affiliate. Breach of any of these rules can result in commission forfeiture and removal from the program.

Paid advertising (PPC)

  • You may not bid on Kourses brand terms in any paid search or display network. Protected terms include “Kourses”, “kourses.com”, and any close variation or misspelling. The following terms and variations are protected and may not be used in any paid advertising:
    Kourses
    kourses.com
    Kourses app
    Kourses platform
    Kourses login
    Kourses pricing
    Kourses review
    Kourses affiliate
Courses (as a misspelling of Kourses)
    Kources
    Koures
    Koursse
    kourses.co
    kourses.io
(This list covers exact matches, close variations, and common misspellings. If you're unsure whether a term is protected, contact us at team@kourses.com before running any paid campaign).
  • You may use paid advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) to promote Kourses, provided traffic is first directed to your own website, content, landing page, or marketing funnel.
  • Direct linking from paid ads to your affiliate link is not permitted.

Facebook and Meta advertising

When running Meta ads (Facebook, Instagram), you must use your own creative, not Kourses’ official promotional assets.

This avoids duplicate-creative issues in Meta’s ad systems and prevents affiliates from undercutting our paid social campaigns. As above, traffic must go to your own pages, not directly to Kourses.

Coupons, cashback, and discounts

You may not use coupons, cashback offers, or any other discount mechanisms to promote Kourses. We don’t offer discount codes or cashback as part of our pricing, and these tactics devalue the product. The strength of your promotion should be your recommendation and your own value-add, not a discount.

Email and spam

You may only promote Kourses to email lists you have built yourself or have explicit, granular permission to market to. This specifically excludes:

  • Safelists, swap lists, or co-registration lists
  • Lists you’ve purchased, leased, or otherwise acquired without active opt-in
  • Any list where recipients haven’t actively requested marketing communications from you

Misleading claims and brand misuse

Don’t make claims about Kourses’ features, performance, or results that aren’t accurate. Don’t impersonate Kourses or imply you represent the company. Don’t create fake reviews or fabricate testimonials. Don’t use the Kourses logo or brand assets in ways not explicitly approved in the affiliate portal.

Self-referral

You may not earn commission on your own Kourses subscription, your business’s subscription, or accounts you control.

Our affiliate platform automatically detects and prevents self-referrals, and any commissions earned through self-referral attempts will be reversed.

Other prohibited practices

  • iframe stuffing, cookie stuffing, or any technical attribution manipulation
  • Trademark infringement on competitor marks (e.g., “Kajabi alternative” content is fine; bidding on “Kajabi” PPC terms is not)
  • Unsolicited contact via direct messages, comments, or other platforms in ways that breach those platforms’ terms of service

Data protection

Affiliates promoting Kourses in the EU or to EU audiences are responsible for their own GDPR compliance, including obtaining proper consent for any cookies, tracking, or data collection used in their promotional activities.

Promoting Kourses

If you’re new to affiliate marketing or just looking for ideas, here are the approaches we see work well for our partners:

Write a comparison or review post. Detailed, honest comparisons between Kourses and platforms like Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific, or Skool tend to convert well because they help readers make a real decision. We provide comparison talking points and key differentiators in the affiliate portal.

Mention Kourses in your newsletter. A short email to your own audience, pointing out why Kourses works for course creators and community builders, written in your own voice, converts far better than a forwarded promotional email.

Add Kourses to your “tools I use” page. Many creators have resource pages or recommended tools sections on their websites. Adding Kourses with a brief why-I-recommend-it note gives ambient affiliate exposure across all your traffic.

Mention us on your podcast. A genuine recommendation in a relevant episode, particularly when discussing course creation, community building, or platform choice, works well. We can provide custom tracking links for podcast campaigns.

Embed banners on your blog or resource sites. Sidebar banners and inline banners on relevant blog posts. If you'd like banner assets for your site, just reach out to team@kourses.com and we'll see what we can put together.

Promote on a thank-you page. If you sell complementary products or services, a small Kourses recommendation on your thank-you page converts well, because your customer is already in a buying mindset.

Recommend to your clients. If you work with course creators, coaches, or community builders, a direct recommendation with your affiliate link is one of the highest-converting placements possible.

For Kourses customers: if you’re already using Kourses, your dashboard includes a Refer & Earn panel with your unique link, swipe copy, and shareable assets. You can also enable affiliate attribution on the Powered by Kourses badge that displays in your members' area, earning ambient commission whenever a visitor clicks through and subscribes.

Application process

We review every application personally. We don’t accept all applications; we’d rather have a smaller program of genuinely engaged partners than a large one full of inactive accounts.

What we look for

  • A clear understanding of who Kourses serves (course creators, coaches, community builders, online educators)
  • An audience or platform that overlaps meaningfully with our target customer
  • Honest, ethical promotional practices
  • A commitment to representing Kourses accurately

Review timeline

We aim to respond to applications within 48 hours, though this may take up to 5 working days during busy periods. Once approved, you’ll receive access to your affiliate portal with your unique tracking links, marketing assets, and reporting dashboard.

If your application is declined

If we can’t approve your application, we’ll let you know why. You’re welcome to reapply once the relevant concerns have been addressed.

Program management

Changes to the program

We may update the program terms, commission rates, or rules from time to time. Changes that affect commission rates apply only to new referrals; existing referrals remain locked at the rate they were referred at, in line with our rate lock-in policy.

We’ll notify all active affiliates of any material changes at least 30 days before they take effect.

Termination

Either party may terminate participation in the program at any time. If we terminate your participation due to a breach of these rules, any unpaid commissions may be forfeited. If you terminate voluntarily or are terminated for non-promotional reasons, any commissions already earned and past the refund window will be paid out at the next scheduled payout.

Disputes

Commission disputes should be raised within 60 days of the relevant transaction. We’ll review honestly and fairly, where the platform records and our records align, the platform records are final.
