Audio Lessons Are Here: Give Your Members More Ways to Learn

Add standalone audio lessons or include audio alongside your videos, with a built-in player and searchable content once a transcription has been generated.

A guided meditation. A motivational recording to start the week. A breathing exercise members return to between sessions. Some content works best when your members can simply press play and listen.

With the new lesson audio player in Kourses, you can create audio-only lessons or add a recording alongside a video. Whether audio is the main experience or an extra resource, you now have more flexibility in how you deliver your content.

Not every lesson needs a camera, a slide deck or something to watch. For creators sharing guided sessions, spoken exercises or motivational content, the recording itself can be the whole lesson.

You could build a course of guided meditations, add a series of motivational recordings to your membership, or create short listening exercises to support a wider programme.

Audio also works alongside video. A yoga lesson might include a video demonstration followed by a guided breathing recording. A coaching lesson could pair a video explanation with an audio exercise members can revisit whenever they need it.

Use video, audio or both, depending on what makes the lesson most useful.

Your recording appears directly inside the lesson, so members can listen without opening a separate tool.

The player includes play and pause, a progress bar, playback speed and volume controls. Members can also skip back 15 seconds or forward 30 seconds, making it easy to hear an instruction again or move through a familiar recording.

You can give each recording a clear title, so members know what they are about to play.

Some recordings are useful well beyond a single lesson. A member might want to keep a guided meditation on their device or listen to a motivational session offline.

You decide whether to allow this. Each lesson audio upload has a download setting, giving you control over whether members can save the file.

A useful exercise or explanation is not always mentioned in the lesson title. As your content library grows, that can make it harder for members to find something they remember hearing.

Once a transcription has been generated for your audio, its content can be found through your site search. Members can search for words or topics covered in the recording, helping them rediscover useful content.

You can also review and edit the transcription inside Kourses to correct wording where needed.

You’ll find the new Lesson Audio section in your course lesson editor. Upload your recording, give it a title and choose whether members can download it. Add a video if the lesson needs one, or let the audio stand on its own.

Kourses supports MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG and AIFF files under 100 MB. For longer recordings, MP3 is the recommended format to help keep file sizes manageable.
