There's a moment every course creator hopes for, a member who not only buys but actually finishes. Completes every lesson. Sees it through to the end.
It sounds obvious, but course completion is one of the hardest problems in online education. Most members start with good intentions. Life gets in the way. The lessons sit unfinished.
Course completion certificates won't solve this on their own, but research consistently shows they make a meaningful difference. When members have a tangible credential to work towards, completion rates improve significantly, and so does the perceived value of your course. That's the difference between a course that transforms someone and one that gathers digital dust.
Certificates are automatically issued when a member completes 100% of a course, no manual work required
Customise your certificate in a few settings, title, signatory, logo, and accent colour
Members can download their certificate from the course home page or their new Achievements profile section
Each certificate includes a unique serial number for authenticity
A certificate works on a few levels at once. It's not just a nice touch at the end of a course, it quietly shapes the entire member experience from the moment someone enrols.
It gives members a reason to finish. The prospect of a tangible credential, something they can download, share, and point to, is a quiet motivator throughout the course.
It validates the investment. Your members paid money and time to be there. A certificate acknowledges that. It says: what you did here was real, and it counts.
It turns members into advocates. A certificate shared on LinkedIn or dropped into a portfolio doesn’t just reward the member, it puts your course in front of people who’ve never heard of you.
It elevates your course’s perceived value. All else being equal, a course that issues certificates feels more serious than one that doesn’t.
We’ve kept this deliberately simple, because simple is what actually gets used.
You enable certificates per course with a single toggle. From there, a handful of settings let you make it yours, your certificate title, a signatory name and title, your logo, and your brand accent colour. Kourses handles the rest.
There are no templates to wrestle with, no design tools to navigate, and no manual work when a member completes a course.

Open any course, select the Certificate tab, and enable the certificate. By default, the certificate uses your website logo and accent colour; you can replace them per course if needed.

The certificate text is preset for you, but you can change all of the text options, set your title, add your signatory details, and preview the result before publishing.
The whole setup takes a few minutes, and then your certificate is ready for members who complete your course.

If you’ve been holding off on offering certificates because it felt complicated, it isn’t, not anymore.
